PRESIDENT’S REPORT 18 SEPTEMBER 2018
Posted By Vivienne Truelove
We lost one of our beloved Rotary Members recently and it makes you realise not to take anything for granted.
Our Guest Speaker on Tuesday 11th September was Dr Max Dias who works out of several hospitals. I think mainly The SAN at Wahroonga. He brought along a representative from The San Integrated Cancer Centre and she explained how The SAN is a world leader in Robotic Techniques.
The cost of the Da Vinci Robotic System is very expensive and a lot of ex patients have donated a large amount of money in appreciation of their treatment.
A full rundown of Max’s work is in the Bulletin, a very talented Doctor
Some of our members have had first hand experience in Max’s work. He passed on some advice for all of us to follow and pointed out the statistics to prove it.
The weekend 15th & 16th September was busy with Glenorie on Saturday and Bunnings on Sunday with a Cake Stall as well at Bunnings.
A big thank you to all our hard working helpers. A worthwhile money raiser for our Rotary Projects. Monies raised will be announced at our next meeting on the 25th September.
Our District Governor, Susan Wakefield OAM will make her visit to Dural Rotary on the 25th September. Let’s show her how we can have a night of Rotary, food and fun.
Till next meeting
