PRESIDENT’S REPORT 30TH APRIL 2019
Posted By Dural Rotary
Our condolences from Dural Rotary go out to Joan and her son Tony for the tragic loss of their daughter/sister De^anne.
The Bunnings B.B.Q,. was a financial success again. Thanks to the hard- working members who put in a great effort.
Shane Brownless is in hospital with a damaged spine. Tests are underway. He may be out of action for a while. We all wish him a speedy recovery.
It was good to see Alf at our meeting last night. Alf is one of our long-standing members who is always helping Dural Rotary.
Our guest speaker last night was Mark Anderson, a very dedicated Rotarian. He certainly has been an asset to the Rotary Foundation at the South Pacific and Philippines office in Parramatta.
It was good to hear how our Rotary donations are spent and how a small contribution can multiply into a larger amount to have a greater impact on a local or international project.
Lately our guest speakers have won our heads and tails bottle of wine.
Mark explained how generous some Rotarians are. Many donating thousands of dollars, also giving a percentage of their will. As he explained Rotary has been a big part of their life, some being members for many years and leaving money to Rotary is a natural thing to do.
Keep an eye on our new calendar for dates of our meetings and guest speakers.
