SCIENCE & ENGINEERING CHALLENGE
Past ADG, Rotarian
Australia faces a significant future shortage of engineers & scientists,
The Challenge is a free, one day event designed to show year 9 students that it can be stimulating and fun.
The objective is to encourage them to include science based subjects in the curriculum of their final years of high school. Rotarians can be involved in several ways.
Rotary has several programs to help and encourage students in their pursuit of a career in science but there’s only that isn’t elitist and simply sets out to encourage all students to consider a career in science. It’s called the Science & Engineering Challenge. It’s a District program and it’s been around for 20 years.
