New District Proposal

Combined Clubs Dinner
On Monday 15th April Rotary Clubs in our district had a combined meeting held at Springfields in Dural
A good roll up with over a hundred in attendance. The seating was 50 – 50 with clubs sharing tables. It was interesting networking with fellow Rotarians.
Everyone had a story to tell in the couple of hours available. At our table the woman sitting opposite me was knitting. I did not dare ask her what she was making.
Just into the proceedings we had a blackout, fortunately it was only off for a short time and lights were back on and all candles on the tables were removed.
Nine Dural Rotarians attended, spread over two tables. I invited a potential new Rotarian along, to see a good example of Rotary in action and to impress him.
The Guest speaker was Ricardo Bosi, a High- Ranking retired Army Officer. His presentation was well put together with a good background of what it was like living there with his family in a country so different to Australia. Afghanistan seems to be in conflict all the time. A lot of oil and money involved.
Our Change Over is coming up on Friday 28th June, lets make it a special night. We have some awards to present to hard working people in our Rotary family.
The next meeting at Dural Country Club will be on Tuesday 30th April, see you then. Topic; Rotary Foundation.
