We are a group of people local the Dural area who regularly meet for fellowship, dinner and networking! It’s a great way to meet fellow professionals & make new friends.
We are welcoming new members all the time. We come from all walks of life, all with a common goal – service through fellowship.
Our major project, Dural Community Golf Classic, which is now in its 9th year and raised in excess of $125,000 for local charities.
What is Dural Rotary All About?
Dural Rotary is one of many clubs in our local Hills Shire area and is committed to mainly local projects and is a very large supporter of the community, in the workplace, and service projects that address many of today’s most critical issues, such as children at risk, poverty and hunger, the environment, illiteracy, and violence. The club also supports programs for youth, educational opportunities and international exchanges for students, teachers, and other professionals, and vocational and career development.
Dural Rotary Club has supported many PHD applicants’ mainly young people in various fields of medical research, those being Parkinson ’s disease, Motor Neuron, Pancreatic Cancer.
The club conducts Youth Mental Health Program in the Hills District in association with a number of professional Clinicians through the Hills Clinic, these programs are held at various High Schools for year 10 and 11 students. This has been highly successful with programmes professionally presented by Dural Rotary, to children in those Schools, thus enabling children to be able to seek help following our presentations.
The annual Golf fund raising event held each year at Riverside Oaks and has raised over $200.000 for local charities and Men’s health programmes…
Dural Rotary will celebrate its 50th birthday on June 23rdt 2017 and is looking forward to serving the community for many more years to come. In that period of 50 years, Dural Rotary alone has distributed well over more than $2. Million Dollars to the Community and to Rotary Foundation, as well as to International Projects around the world.
Dural Rotary Club has regularly supported the Salvation Army, Warrah Disability Organizations, Riding for the Disability schools in the district and the club was instrumental in the set up of the RYDA programmes which today has grown to a National organization supporting young drivers learning how to drive successfully.
